Spring as Inspiration

what do you think of the flourish?  click on the pic to enlarge
What no charm?!  I was so busy making my own flourish I forgot about a charm.  Flourishes are popping up all over so I decided to try to make one.  It's a lot easier and faster to throw a charm onto a card but if you enjoy doing mindless and tedious tasks (ooh, ooh, pick me to do it!) you will enjoy making a flourish.  "How?" you may be asking.  If you aren't asking skip ahead to the next paragraph.  Draw or trace a flourish onto tracing paper, vellum or acetate (something you can see thru at least a little bit) and then poke holes about every quarter inch or so into the flourish, place it over your card and put a mark on the card where each of the holes is.  Then you just put the bling on the marks and if the bling seems too far apart put more in between them.
It's time for the Paper Pretties challenge.  This week is a really fun challenge to make a card with Spring as inspiration.  I think everybody loves Spring, but that's because I grew up in a climate where Spring was the end to a miserable winter.  After seeing snow for months when those crocus and snow glories pop up it's time to celebrate.  Lighter weight clothing, in pretty colors come out of the attic.  What's not to like?

don't forget the inside

So break out your spring supplies and make a card or project.  It'll put a smile on your face.  Need a little more inspiration well click here to see what the rest of the design team made and to get the rest of the details about the challenge as well as find the link for posting your creation.

Here's the deets:
