PWC304 No Markers

Paper Pretties challenge PWC304 this week is no markers. Ack!  No Markers!  That's probably  the hardest challenge I've faced since I've been on the design team.  Now, I have made some cards that haven't used markers, but that wasn't on purpose.  I've never sat down and thought about not using markers, that's just happened by accident. Even when I paper piece (which I did in with this card - and yes, I did cut out all those little pink details) I usually use markers on part of the image (and I would have used markers at least on the cake stand for this one) but a challenge is a challenge and I will rise to the occasion and do my very best to make a card that fits the theme.  So as much as I love to pull out my copics and color away I left them on the side of my desk and I went through my stamps to see which one I would like to play with that didn't need to be colored with a marker.  Remarkably there were a couple that would work but I haven't used this one yet so here it is - a paper pieced wedding or anniversary cake.  If paper piecing isn't your thing you can just stamp it or you can get fancy and use wet embossing.  If you want to use color there's  pencils, pastels and paint.  Maybe you can come up with another way to make your card or project - whatever you do just remember to link it up to the Paper Pretties challenge blog and you'll have a chance to win 5 digis.  I can't wait to see what you create.

Here's the deets:
stamp - Paper Pretties "Time for Cake- clear"
ink - Memento "Tuxedo Black"
paper - Bazzill "Buttercream" card stock; Stampin' Up "Blushing Bride" card stock; Paper Studio "Mirabelle" pack
