How Many Days...

...left till Halloween?  I  do love Halloween but today I am just not in the mood to make another Halloween card.  Probably by tomorrow I will be but not today. But, look at today's Cupcake Inspiration challlenge photo.  What's a girl to do?  Well, this girl decided to use the cake as the inpsiration for a birthday card.  What will you come up with?  The Sweeties are always anxious to see what you think up, so join us in this week's challenge, we're sponsored by DTS.  You can find all the details by clicking here.

I'm still wondering when things are going to get back to normal for me, by which I mean, that I'll have plenty of time for sitting down at my scrapbox or sewing machine and time to get to the computer to blog and browse.  Well this weekend isn't it but it's all for good.  My cousin and her husband are visiting.  My brother and I are having a great time catching up and showing them all the great things there are to do and places to visit around the Sarasota area.  AND they are having a great time not being in New Jersey for the unbelievably early first snow storm of the season.

So, here's the deets:
stamp - Sassy Cheryl "A Load of Cake"
ink - hp printer

Piling It On

If you visited here before you probably know that I'm a challenge junkie.  So when PIO (that's Pile It On for those of you new to this stuff) asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer I jumped right on board.  I'll be playing along with the PIO gals for the month of June.  What fun!

At Pile It On the idea is to use their challenge theme and at least one other challenge but the more challenges you can pile on the better.  I am amazed at the number of challenges those gals find.  Visiting the PIO blog is how I find most of the challenges I enter.

This week the challenge theme is "Summer Heaven" and the sponsor is Sassy Cheryl's.  Lots of cuteness to be found in that shop.

don't forget the inside

My card is made with Watermelon Bee.  When I was a child one of the things I looked forward to was having watermelon and back then you only got watermelon in the summer and you had to buy the entire melon so we didn't get it very often but when we had family parties and picnics there was always watermelon.  So my memories of watermelon are colored by the joyous fun that went along with the day.  I still love watermelon, and now that I can get almost everyday of the year I think I love it even more.

Here's the deets:
