What's Cooking

Change, ugh, it's a blessing and a curse.  The blessing for me is my Scrapbox.  I no longer need to work on my kitchen table, with my papers, tools and embellishments scattered all over the house.  You can imagine how crazy that could be.  The box was delivered on Friday.  I've been moving items into it since then.  Today was my first day working in it.  So it was a little challengingg adjusting to it.  It's going to take some time to get used to it but for the most part I like it.

This card was made for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge "Cooking Up Some Love".  The image is an MFT a la mode "What's Cooking".  The sketch is Jen del Muro's a Sketch for You To Try.

I tried using a MFT die-namic to make the rose.  I've been trying to make paper and felt flowers for a long time and up till now haven't liked any of them enough to put them on a project.  In fact I have a box of paper flowers I just don't know how what I think of them.  I'm just not very good with flowers.  I love how they look on other people's cards but when I use them they usually look like a four year asked me to add it to my card and I did it to make the kid smile. Just a sad, sad thing.

Here's the deets:
Stamp - My Favorite Things a la mode "What's Cooking"
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper - Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry dp"; DCWV green cs; kraft cs base
Miscellaneous - MFT die-namics flower and scalloped border; Cat's Pajama felt; Nellies oval die; Cat's Pajama twine; copics, sulky green thread; Queen and Co pearls; cake charm
