Did you notice I didn't use a charm? |
This is a matchbook card. Ordinarily you'd make this the size of, well, duh, the size of a matchbook and you'd put one of the little square mints in it but not me, oh no, I had to use this stamp which was too large for a regular size matchbook so I had to find a candy that would fit. So it's all Alma's (Alma, you can blame Julie) fault that I just ate a huge hunk of candy. I'd blame those rascally penguins but they're no where in sight.

There are a few other challenges that caught my interest, they involve making a masculine card (for those of you new to card making "masculine" is code for brown) and a real challenge to use a different fold. I've started to get comfortable with easel cards so I needed to challenge myself to make something different and I remembered the matchbooks I'd seen on Splitcoast. If you'd like to try one (may I suggest you try a normal sized one) you can find a tutorial on Splitcoast.
