For Mom
In real life I love the way this card looks. In this picture not so much. The pinks are much more vibrant, you can tell the center of the flower is a pearl, you can see the distressing and sponging on the paper edges and the twist of the ribbon isn't so annoying. Other than that...
This stamp set is the VIP package from the May MFT release. The WTG (Who's That Girl) images (headless women) are what attracted me to MFT (My Favorite Things). I liked the "any woman" idea. The large spaces for coloring or paper piecing are another reason I love these stamps. I've continued to buy these stamps because Kim, the MFT Lady, keeps making WTG stamps that I can relate to, and so can a whole slew of other women. I've been speaking with a bunch of them for over a year on the MFT forums on Splitcoast, if you love MFT you should pay us a visit, anyone can jump in at any time and be welcomed. Kim is very savvy and she continues to find "must have" products to go along with the stamps. This month she's introducing "Die-namics". I've used the scalloped scalloped edge on the cs on the sentiment bar here. After I punched it out I sponged the edges to add to the distressed look.
Here's the deets:
Stamps - MFT "Top Shelf WTG"
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Tattered Rose
Paper - dp K & Company "Life's Journey", ivory CTMH cs for the card base
Miscellaneous - copic markers for the arm and some bottles, SU markers for some of the bottles, glaze pens for designs on the bottles, Stickles on the perfume atomizer bottle, glitter dust on some of the bottles, Ranger glossy accents on the nail polish bottles, Recollections pearl stickers, SU Hodgepodge Hardware, ribbon, ribbon flowers with pearl centers from I {Heart} Paper
