can you see the button on the flowers? click on the photo to enlarge it |
This A La Mode demanded to be used so here she is. For now particular reason I wanted to make her dress green so the paper choices followed that (mind you I had a pack of Christmas paper staring me in the face and asking why it wasn't getting used- I guess I have to make another card tonight). The toughest decision was whether to use a key charm or a lock charm. AND you know I have key charms, even one that looks just like the key she's holding but in the end the lock won out.
Here's a close up of the flower, buttoney, bow, charm thingy. The burlap twine was wrapped around the card on top of the dizzy border die. The flower is three layers with a wooden button on top. I took a small crochet hook, put it through the center holes of the flowers and pulled the burlap twine through to the top, thread it through the button holes, hung the charm from it and tied it into a bow. To anchor it do the card I placed a glue dot under it.
Since My Favorite Things provided the sketch putting it together was a breeze. I'm beginning to wonder if this card could have made itself.
