SFTW #17 - Christmas Early
Do you need a little help getting started with your Christmas and holiday cards? Then this week's challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend is just what you need, the theme is "Early Christmas". Making this even more enticing the sponsor this week is Simon Says with a $25 gift certificate.
For my card I decided to go with non-traditional colors. The ornament was done with a glittery embossing powder. Here's a little tip, if you're going to use embossing powder turn off your ceiling fan, don't ask me how I know. The paper on the bottom is stamped with three snowflake stamps in silver and light blue inks. The striped layer is covered with washi tape. Lots of bling just because...
Here's the deets:
stamp - Ornament and sentiment Just Rite "Deck the Halls"; Snowflakes by Inkadinkado
ink - Versa Mark "Watermoark", Color Box "Silver", Versamagic "Sea Breeze" and Versafine "Toffee"
paper - Stampin' Up "So Saffron" cardstock; My Mind's Eye "Be Amazing" dp
miscellaneous - Turquoise glitter embossing powder; silver cord; Recollections bling flourish and blue bling; My Favorite Things "Solid Bracket " border die; Spellbinder's "2011 Heirloom Ornaments" die, Tim Holtz "Sympathy" Tissue Tape
