Jellypark - Pink It Up

WOW!  You have no idea how excited I am to share this piece of news.  I have been keeping this secret for a couple weeks and was about to burst.  I love Jellypark so this is like going to heaven for me.  For the last couple weeks I've been chatting it up with the DT and they are fun and funny.   Lots of Brits in the group so I'm learning lots of new slang, most days I have to ask for translations, which cracks me up.  Besides be very funny they are incredibly talented.  It's a privilege to work with them and I have to thank Claire for adding me to her team.  I am blessed.

If you aren't color blind you've probably noticed things are looking pink all of a sudden.  In case you've been in the deep freeze or just coming out of a coma (it could happen) October is Breast Cancer Awareness month with the pink ribbon for its symbol.

There's nothing funny about cancer.  It strikes anybody, any gender, any age, any religion, any nationality, that it - ANYBODY.  There isn't a one of you reading this that hasn't had the misfortune of knowing someone who has it.

Claire, owner and designer of Jellypark has created this pink ribbon digi and it is being released today.  Because it's a digi it can be sized small to large, whatever you're computer and printer can handle.  For this card, which happens to look a lot better in real life, I made the ribbon large.  It's printed on vellum paper and colored with copics.  For the paper underneath I went into Word and typed "fight like a girl" and then repeated it till it covered the page.  I chose a pink font and found a piece of printed paper that had a pink and white pattern on it.  I cut it down to 8-1/2 x 11 and fed it through the printer.  It's adhered to a white card base then using an adhesive made for use with vellum the ribbon page was added.

The challenge this week is "Pink It Up" and because pink is the color associated with Breast Cancer Awareness we're going pink all month at the Jellypark Friend Challenge blog.  I don't know about you but for me when I use pink there's usually a smile on my face.

By the way, there's also an image of two sweet little girls called "Song in Your Heart" being released.  It's perfect for those notes to your bff and it just begs you to use pink on it.

Here's the deets:
stamp - Jellypark "Pink Ribbon"
ink - hp printer
paper - vellum; pink and white printed paper without any markings; white card stock
miscellaneous - copics, vellum tape runner

Here's the challenges:
Jellypark Friends - Pink It Up
Fresh Brewed - Thinking of You
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll come back again.
