An Innocent Valentine

It feels like ages since I've made a card but it's only a few days. It's just been one of those weeks when life interfered with crafting. Stuff happens, but I'm caught up with non-crafting things for now, well at least till din-din needs fixing.

First thing I wanted to do was make a card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. This week it's a sketch challenge.
I don't know about the rest of you but I need a few valentines day cards so I went looking for the stamp I'd use. At first I thought about "Maid for You" but I didn't like it for this layout. Most of the Pure Innocence cards have hearts on them so I browsed through them and picked this little gem. I wanted to play the Color Throwdown this week, the colors are Soft Sky, Pink Pirouette and Kraft. What a great choice of colors, off I went to pull out my paper and markers. I started out by stamping Memento Tuxedo Black onto a MFT white Perfect Panel and punching it out with Nesties, I punched its mat out of SU Kraft cs and pierced holes in the scallops. The image was colored with copics and SU ink. I used copics for the body and hair, for the clothes I used an SU blender pen and SU Soft Sky ink. I haven't used an SU blender pen for such a big space before and it doesn't work the same as a copic blender so it's not exactly what I wanted but I like it. The hearts were covered with the Cat's Pajama's Glitzy Glitter. The sentiment was stamped on a Close to My Heart acrylic heart with Stazon Black and the edges were coated with the glitter. The ribbon is SU Pink Pirouette, the dp is also SU Pink Pirouette (why oh why was that an "in color", I want more of this polka dot paper), the dots make it work for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge #98 - Spots and Dots and the ribbon is for the Creative Belli Blog Challenge #84 to use ribbons. The pink pearls in the corners Recollections Pearl Stickers.
Anyone making a Valentine this week has hit the motherload of challenges. Here's the ones I spotted that didn't have other items like specific stamps or other color combos:
Stampin' for the Weekend - Valentines Theme
Crazy for Challenges Week 23 - Be My Valentine
The Papertake Weekly Challenge - Love Actually (also the name of one of my fav movies)
The Pink Elephant Challenge #52 - All About Pink (Happy 1st Birthday, Ella!)
The Corrosive Challenge Blog #49 - All You Need Love
Paper Sundaes Third Week - Valentine's Theme
There's probably more challenges out there, I stumble over new ones everyday. If you have a favorite challenge leave me a note in the comments and I'll check it out.
Thanks for visiting, you're comments always make me smile. Have a great weekend, and don't forget to click on the pink ribbon.
