Back to School

This month the theme at Shirley's 2 Girls had been "Back to School" and now that my kiddie is back to school I need to gripe a little.  You would think that since I've retired from work I could sleep late but NOOOOO I have to get up even earlier so that I can make sure my darling daughter gets to school.  Technically I'm on vacation this week, and hubby has been letting me sleep in but this is going to end real soon, YUK.  What happened to the good old days when kids had to drag their own butts to school?
Okay, that's it, done griping.
Today is Twisted Thursday at Shirley's 2 Girls.  This week the twist is to use a letter or alphabet.  I chose to use the S2G digi paper "Back to School" which you can pick up here  There are two papers with letters on them, I picked the yellow one for this card but the one with the white background is equally lovely.
It goes perfectly with this "Teacher" digi image that you can get here.   What teacher wouldn't love to get a homemade card?
So the challenge is pretty simple, if you need a little more inspiration you can  see what the rest of the very talented design team made by visiting the S2G challenge blog.  Just click here to get to the challenge page.  You'll find all the details there, including the prize and how to post your card.
Guess what else today is?  Give up?  It's HAPPY HOUR on SNR.  You have got to hop on over there tonight.   Here on the east coast it's 8PM to 9PM but it's happy hour cause the company is on the west coast and it's only 5PM there.  I say any time you're doing anything paper craft related is Happy Hour.  This month we're gonna swap tailgate recipes.  LOL, if you know me, you know my favorite sport is cooking.  I'm not much of a sports fan at all but I have gone tailgating at Giant Stadium (don't know the new name, how pathetic am I) for Jets games.  I liked the tailgating, it was the game I wasn't crazy about.  I've got a yummy desert recipe.  You gotta come, this recipe is a real keeper!  Here's where you can find us.
See you at Happy Hour.
