Happy Birthday Sweet 16

can you see the pin in the ripped paper up top, click the photo to enlarge
 Sneaky Peaky time again.  Today we're showing off "Sweet 16".  You have to stop by (that's an order!) the Paper Pretties blog to see some more cards made with this stamp.  This one is so cute and fun I actually squealed when I saw it.

I happen to have a 16 year old daughter, so after I made this card I showed it to her and it got her seal of approval, which is not the easiest thing to get.

As if being the mom of a teen-ager isn't hard enough, they turn 16 and we're supposed to teach them to drive!  YIKES!

Making a birthday card is a lot easier and if you make yourself a nice big margarita you'll soon forget about the driving.  Eventually you'll forget about everything but your crafting skills may be compromised.  You may want to stay that way for most of the teenage years.  At least it's only a few years.

don't forget the inside

Here's the deets:
stamp - Paper Pretties "Sweet 16"
ink - Memento "Tuxedo Black"; Ranger "Weathered Wood"
paper - Georgia Pacific white cs; unknown black cs; Creative Imaginations skull dp; GCD Studios Chianti Collection dp;
miscellaneous - copics, stickles; Plaid "Bad Apple" charm; Spare Parts pins; SU hemp twine; Sewing machine; oval nesties.

Here's the challenges:
Going Grey with Scrap Creations - Kids (the teens years are when you really go grey)
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes with optional something old (this paper is from a scrap page I did two years ago)
Allsorts week 93 - a card for a teenager
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge CCH#57 - Lovely Ladies

Thanks for stopping by.  Visit the Paper Pretties blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has done with this image.  Most importantly don't forget the new releases will be available on Wednesday, March 9 at 7AM EST and we'll be having a blog hop to celebrate and show off some more creations made with the new release images.  So first thing Wednesday morning, get your coffee and then head on over to the Paper Pretties blog where the hop will start.  See you then.

  3. Hi, Chris! I was actually thinking about you the other day and meant to visit. Then this morning, I check out comments, and there you are!!! I have been bad about visiting lately. Stuff going on with my kids. Is there an age when you no longer worry? Maybe dementia has to set in before that happens! LOL LOVE your card and it's perfect for a teenager! Good luck with the driving lessons. A Driving Lesson Story: I told my oldest son to pull closer to the right because someone was walking their dog in our subdivision, and he drove into the ditch! Will try to visit more often. Hugs (I miss S2G DT)
