Usually I make a card with the sketch and this sketch would work wonderfully for a card. But I needed to make something to give to my buddies up north when I went visiting last week. I had picked up a package of small notebooks at one of the big box stationary stores and decided to alter the covers. This sketch worked perfectly for my project.
These friends are my Girl Scout buddies. I don't think any of us spent much time in Girl Scouts as children but we did it for years as adults. We spent many weekends working the city's encampment. Our first year working it we had over 200 campers on our hands. Maddy and Eileen were the camp directors, and Edna and I ran the kitchen. I don't think any of us ever came up for air that weekend but we had fun and so did the campers. We also scrapbook together and have gone away on a few weekends. We have a blast and we laugh our butts off. I miss hanging out with these ladies more than I could ever say.
Since Girl Scouting played such a significant part in our time together I used Scout Sophia for my image and some K & Co scouting paper.
As you can see I added some extra embellishments to my project. If you play along with us you can follow the sketch exactly, you can flip it around, move the elements to where they work for you, or you can add embellishements if you wish. You don't have to use Paper Pretty stamps either, but if you've got them we'd love to see them. All you have to do is have a reasonable resemblence to the sketch so we know you're in the right challenge.
Here's the deets:
stamp - Paper Pretties "Scout Sophia"
ink - Memento "Tuxedo Black"
paper - K and Co. "Girl Scout" pad; unknown cs
miscellaneous - brads, Sizzex flourish die; ribbon, buttons, twine
Here's the challenges:
Paper Pretties PWC156 - sketch
Dream Valley - Stamp Something (no digis)
