Jellypark - Midway Christmas Challenge

At Jellypark Friends we are half through our December challenge. We're taking it a little easy this month by only having one challenge.  So if you still haven't finished up all your crafting projects or cards and have to get one more Christmas thing done then when you're finished take a photo and submit it into our challenge.  Who knows maybe all your hard work will be rewarded.

My project uses Jellypark Friends Gingerbread Women digi image.  If you love gingerbread people there's a few of them loose at the Jellypark Friends shop and they are just too cute for words, but then everything at the Jellypark store is cute.  I wanted to make the "perfect" gift for a chocolate loving, gingerbread collecting, person.  It's so hard to find gingerbread women so when I found this cookie cutter, and Jellypark had a gingerwoman image, well the whole thing just came together in my head.  -I haven't met this gingerbread collector yet, but when I do I'll have the perfect gift ready, unless I get the munchies first.

If you need a quick little gift give this a try.  It's pretty quick, easy and inexpensive.  Of course there's ways to make it a little "richer".    All you need is a cookie cutter, wax paper, a cookie sheet, chocolate bits.  Cover your cookie sheet with waxed paper, set the cookie cutter on top of the waxed paper.  Melt enough chocolate to fill the cookie cutter, pour it in.  You can get it looking smoother if you take your time and  work with a spatula or you can sprinkle some sanding sugar on it, or other decoration on it.  Then put it in the fridge to set.  When it's firm, it's time to crack off the pieces that are sticking over the edges.  You decide what you want to do with them, I'm not telling what I did with mine.  Take a paper towel to wipe off the chocolate that got stuck of the edges of the cutter.  Then place it in a clear plastic bag, wrap it up and you've got a cute little gift that's good to go.  NOW, here's where you can make your gift a little bit "richer" depending on who you're giving this too.  Besides the cookie cutter you can stuff all kinds of other things inside the bag.  You can use the typical slivered crunchy paper or tissue to hold your cutter but if you have a crafty friend you could use a variety of ribbons like the ones I choose that match the colors of my tag.  A nice gift card to the local craft store tucked in with the ribbon a nice finishing touch.  Just think of all the fun things you can put in that bag...
