Little Loveosaurus
This is the latest love of my life. "Jack" was just released by My Favorite Things and from the second I saw him in the sneak peeks I was a goner. I can't imagine anybody not loving this image.
For his debut I used the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge sketch. Since Jack is in a dinosaur suit I pulled out an embossing folder that looks like reptile skin and I picked a dp with reptiles of a sort on it. The dp isn't visible when the card is closed but you can see how cute it is in the photo of the inside, you can also see that it's a birthday card when you look inside. I was going to put a white box in the center so that I could write a note but it would cover that great dp, so I punched a couple ovals and put them on the circle halves. Most kids would rather have the picture of the lizardy thing than a mushy note from grams anyway.
I was totally engrossed trying to figure out how to put this card together but loved every minute of it. Since I've never made a card like this before I'm going to say that went outside my comfort zone which is the theme for the Tuesday Taggers challenge. As much as I like the way it came out I don't know if I'll make another one like this again. It's so much easier to make a rectangular or square card if you know what I mean, but it's fun to try something different just for the heck of it.
