A Watercoloring Challenge
My "N" key is sticking. It's very frustrating to have to keep going back to retype that letter. Why couldn't it be the "Q" or "Z" that got stuck. Well at least it's not the "E".
So I've been keeping my posts short because I keep losing my train of thought what with all the retyping.
This card is for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge to watercolor. It's kind of funny, not haha funny, odd funny because the first couple times I made cards with MFT stamps I water colored them. I hadn't started using copics or paper piecing till after I used the stamps for awhile. I found the MFT gallery on Splitcoast and a whole new world opened up to me. I starting studying the cards posted there and entering the challenges. That is what eventually led me here. So this challenge is bringing me back to my roots so to speak.
I dug out my watercolors and made made this card. I used Stampin' Up watercolor crayons for a base and the finished it off with Pearlescent Watercolors. I think this card looks much better in person than it does here.
Because this keyboard is driving me crazy I'm going to go to the deets:
stamp - MFT "Fairy Sweet Jolinne"
ink - Stazon Black; Ranger Tattered Rose
paper - all paper My Mind's Eye
miscellaneous - Stampin' Up watercolors; Pearlescent watercolors; MFT green ribbon; mauve ribbon; glaze pen and glitter dust for the wings; Recollections Pearl stickers
Here's the challenges:
MFT Wednesday Stamp Club - watercoloring
Playdate Cafe PDCC30 - pale yellow, light green and pink
Stamp Something - 2 of Something (2 ribbons); 2 dp's (the mats are the reverse sides of the dp)
The Pink Elephant TPE67 - the sketch
Raise the Bar Challenge 18- It's All About the Bag create a card based on a favorite bag - I love bags, I had to wear uniforms when I was in school so I fell for bags back then and it's been a life long love. This card is based on two of my favs, one is a pink plaid Burberry knockoff and the other one is a lavender Coach.
Thanks for visiting, please come back again. Don't forget to click on the pink ribbon before you leave, it's good karma.
PS - Do you have any idea how many N's are in this post!
