Falling for You

Every Thursday there are two new challenges posted on the My Favorite Things Forum on Splitcoast Stampers. I love these stamps and love chatting on the threads. There's an abundance of talent there, and if you want to know how to do something they will tell you how. So if you're a beginner and feel like you need some guidance go check out the MFT threads "How'd They Do That". You can learn a lot. If you've been stamping for awhile and want a place to share your passion get over there and post a comment. You'll feel right at home.
MFT is approaching their 100th sketch challenge and they've issued a challenge to everyone to try to do them all. Well I'm no slacker so I've accepted the challenge and even though I have to do about thirty-five more in six weeks I'm still optimistic. Never give up! Hey, I remember writing 10 page term papers overnight. Sometimes they even made sense. So this card used sketch #4. The weekly challenge MFTMFC13 is to Ink a Stamp for the first time. Sadly, I have more than a few of those so I chose the "Falling for You" set. It's stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa on white card stock. The edges were sponged with Memento Dandelion. Here's a little secret, I didn't bring my brush or any sponges with me so I stalked the kitchen and bathrooms till I found a new sponge and cut it up, it's got a scrunchy side too, I'm gonna see what I can do with that side too. Don't tell anyone, they may not notice that I got to it. It's matted with DCWV Neutrals card stock and the designer paper is Basic Grey Indian Summer. I used maple sugar to piece the pants and woodrose to piece the shirt, the background paper is Emberglow. The card edges are sponged with Close To My Heart Desert Sand. Oh, those yummy little dots are Pebbles Candy Dots in sun yellow.
If I want to finish those 100 sketches I better get back to drawing board.
