Knocking Off those 100 MFT Sketches

MFT (My Favorite Things) is coming up on their 100th sketch challenge and I'm trying to get them all done. Since I love these stamps it's fun, when it stops being fun, that's when I stop playing with the stamps. So tonight I did the first and second challenges.

I combined the MFTSC01 with this week's Color Throwdown challenge #55 to use black and white, melon mambo, kraft and crushed curry. I used one of the new stamp sets "Grow Love, Plant a Tree". I stamped the tree image on beige card stock with Memento rich cocoa, the leaves were stamped on card stock scraps. The card stock scraps were also used for the border leaf sprigs that were punched out with an EK Success punch. The patterned papers are 7 Gypsies Karma and Taylor for Daisy D's Gypsy Paisley. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black on white card stock. The crystal leaves are seasonal medley from Creative Charm.

My regular readers, all two of you, you know how much I love Halloween. So for MFTSC02 I used the house from the MFT Monster Squad set. For the background paper I used Karen Foster Halloween Hodge Podge. The image is stamped in memento black on white card, the edges were sponged with yellow and orange. The house is paper pieced with scrap paper. The roof of the house is pieced with SEI eerie Alley paper. The sentiment is stamped with CTMH Amethyst. and is matted on olive card stock.
By the way, did you click on the pink button today? Don't forget to click on it before you leave here for your next stop. It only takes a couple seconds for you but it could help save someone else's life.

  1. I love the colors of autumn and both these cards fit into that category. I love the leaves - both the crystal and the punched ones on the top card. And that has to be the coolest tree I have ever seen!

I love the halloween card too! What a spooky (but cute) little house with a crooked roof. The papers go great together!

  2. Beautiful cards. I am a bit freaked out by seeing a Halloween card in August, but the stores are already stocking up for Halloween.
