Orange you glad...

This week the MFT (My Favorite Things - you can click on the blinkie over on the sidebar to check out their stamps) challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to make a FABULOUS card but to keep it clean and simple. Embrace the white. That's a love/hate challenge for me. I love that I don't have to strain my brain debating over what paper to use, what embellishments are good, am I putting too much stuff on the card, I hate when it gets too busy but you don't want it to be needing something more. Ah, the clean and simple, it takes me more time to find a stamp that I'm happy let stand alone. I did spend more time picking out the stamp than putting the card together. Well there isn't too much to tell you about the making of it. I stamped the orange image from the Feelin' Fruity set in Memento Black on white card stock. I colored it in with copic markers and then covered it with Stickles. The stickles don't show up so well in the picture but in real life they make just enough of a difference to punch it up. I stamped the image and then underscored the sentiment with a KI ribbon I picked up at Target. I knew it was going to come in handy and it did. So that's that. Clean and simple. Lots of white. Orange you glad you took a look?
