Autumn's Beauty

The thing that I love about Autumn is color. The colors are gorgeous, there are views in the mountains that take your breath away. Even if you don't go leaf peeping if you're out anywhere around here you can't help but stop to take in the sights of Fall. There are pumpkins and cornstalks decorating houses and businesses. The trees are changing colors, the leaves are falling and covering lawns, people are playing in the piles of leaves.
This weekend I found three challenges that have Fall in mind. Fashionista Friday #4 on If The Shoe Fits is fall themed and must have leaves. Over at No Time To Stamp Stamp Simply #106 is Rich Autumn Leaves and the Allsorts Week 20 Challenge to Get Inspired by Fall. My Favorite Things, My Favorite Challenge #18 is Get Buttoned Up and I just happened to have some great leaf buttons to use so I pulled out the "Falling For You" stamp set to use for this card. The Paper Cutz #10 Challenge is to use at least three buttons and I think three buttons is the right amount for this card, no more, no less. On LaLaLand Challenge #6 is paper piecing. MFT stamps and paper piecing go together perfectly so all I needed was a sketch and the one that the Fresh Batch Stamps and Smiles posted on Thursday was great for this stamp.
I rarely make cards that aren't rectangular or square so for me this is a fun departure, thanks to Stamps and Smiles for getting me onto a different track.
