Sweet for the Sweet

The first thing some people do when they get up is make a cup of coffee. The first thing I did today was check out challenges. I found the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #35 this morning. When I read that this week they were being sponsored by Clear and Simple Stamps I got excited and got out the Glamour Girls stamp set and made my card. It wasn't until I started writing down my recipe that I noticed that the maker of this set is just "Clear Art Stamps" nothing simple about them. I love the way this card, I think it's sweet. Since I did use the sketch from Sweet Sunday I will post it there but it's a little bit different than what the challenge had in mind. Oh well...
This stamp makes me think of pastels. I also think I'm going to have to get some flower soft because this stamp set is just begging to have some teeny weeny flowers put on them. I guess I know what my next purchase is going to be. To keep it soft I stamped it in Stazon brown on Stampin' Up Confetti white card stock and painted it with SU watercolors. I cut it and the pink mat out with a nestibility dies. I sponged around the circle edge with Memento Angel Pink and used a white gel pen to put the dots around the scallop edges. The design paper is SU Pink Pirouette and was the edge was punched with a Fiskar's Sunburst border punch, under that there's SU Blush Blossom card stock with its edge punched with the SU scalloped eyelet punch. In the points there are Hero Arts Pearls. The white card stock was embossed with a Sizzex texture plate and the edges were brushed with the Angel Pink ink. The sentiment was stamped with the Stazon Brown on the brush blossom cs. It was cut with one of the Cuttlebug Sliders dies. The ribbon is from the My Favorite Things Chocolate Kiss collection. The base of the card is Bazzil peach card stock.
So considering I was using the wrong stamps I think I got a really beautiful card. I hope you like it too and as usual I have to ask you to click on the pink ribbon in the sidebar. I'm gonna keep asking that and if we all work on it maybe one day there'll be no reason for that ribbon but till then, take the time and click.
