Jinx's Brew

Have you noticed that there are a bunch of challenges listed in my sidebar? I look forward to each and every one of them and several more that I have haven't stopped to take the time to put up there. On Thursday I look forward to Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday Sketch Challenge. This week I was really excited because earlier this week I received my first stamps from S2G and was ready to use the Jinx's brew set. So I got the sketch and checked to see which card won last week's challenge but at that time the winner hadn't been posted. So this afternoon when I got an e-mail telling me I won I was thrilled and I gotta tell you that it's still really fun to go to the winner's page and see my card, you can click here to see it. So enough patting myself on my back and onto this week's card.
The S2G #26 sketch challenge's twist this week is to put the word "boo" on your card. That's not too difficult to do this time of year. I just found my EK Success punch with the word "boo" and the ghost on it and punched it out on some black card stock.
The Haunted Design House Macabre Monday Challenge #6 is "perplexing pigment play". Translation - use black, white, orange, chartreuse green and purple. When you make a Halloween card that's pretty much the color theme so I pulled out my K & Co. Halloween Specialty paper pad and pulled out the polka dotted paper and the swirled paper and used those colors on the stamped image. It doesn't show very well but Jinx's skin is a lovely shade of lavender, she takes excellent care to stay out of direct sunlight, when she goes out during the day the brim of her hat usually keeps her safe but just in case she's brewing up some sun block with an spf30 in that cauldron. I used copics to color it in and then covered her dress with distress stickles and the bubbles with regular stickles.
The Pile It On #16 Challenge is "Crazed and Punched" and the theme over at Pile It On is to combine their challenge with at least one other challenge. The Paper Make Up Stamps Challenge is also to use punches, nesties don't count, you can use them but you have to use a punch for the challenge.
I hope you enjoyed your visit, and before you go remember to click on the pink ribbon. There's lots of events going on this time of year to support Breast Cancer research. If you can spare some cash make a donation. If you have the time join in a walk or a run. Wear your pink ribbons and think positive thoughts. We will overcome this disease!
