Let's Cuddle Up

I've been trying to do the 100 MFT Sketches. They're gonna hit 100 sketches very soon and they've given us till September 30th to get our entries posted. I'd been doing it for yuks and jollies but recently they added a prize for the person who completes the most sketches. I only have about thirty of them done so I've got a lot more to go. When they first posted the challenge I was shocked to find out how few I had done. So I've got a lot of work ahead of me. I think I'd have to work at it 24/7 to meet the deadline but it's all for fun so I'm just going to plod along till I get them done.

So I wanted to find something I could combine with a MFT sketch. I found color challenge #36 at Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog to use green, orange and brown. I thought I would make a Halloween card or a fall card with that color scheme but when I pulled out my stash of stamps I was drawn to a set I recently purchased. The "Cuddle Up Carter" stamps are absolutely adorable. I paper pieced the scene to look like a wallpapered bedroom. I used the K & Co Itsy Bitsy paper pad for the top section of the wallpaper and for Carter's pajamas. I used the DCVW cardstock for the chair rail and for the mat behind the sentiment. I drew in the bottom section of wallpaper with SU markers and copics and I drew in the hard wood floor. The train across the bottom was made with the Martha Stewart Train border punch. I used stickles in the scallops of the sentiment's mat and for the slipper's eyes and pj collar. For the inside of the card I stamped the train in Memento brown on white card stock.
As usual I ask that you click on the pink ribbon. Thanks for visiting.
