Howling Time

It feels like forever since I've been able to sit down and make a card. The first card I wanted to make was for the Midnight Madness challenge. This week the sketch included a tag. Yikes! I have a horrible time with big tags, I love to add little tags with sentiments on them but full size tags are not my thing. There are about six challenges I'd like to complete but most of them are sketches so they can't be combined, but I did find the 2 red bananas challenge to "spell it out" using your letter stickers. So I combined these two challenges.

I used Basic Gray Wisteria papers for the card base. Then I made a pocket out of Stampin' Up Vellum for the tag and ran a strip of ribbon across the top of the pocket. I made the tag out of plain white card stock, I put a purple eyelet in the top and ran a purple ribbon through it. I punched hole up the side for the whip stitch which I made with lavender floss. Then I spelled out "read" with Making Memories Alpha Periwinkle Shimmer stickers. Lastly, I made a triple layer flower out of Prima flowers and stuck a button in the center of it. Well, it's not my finest card but at least I pushed myself to make a card with a tag and someone will be happy to receive a card with a book mark in it.

This card is also for two challenges. The Mojo97 sketch challenge and the Cat's Pajama's challenge TCPTUES69 color challenge to use blue, orange and pink and the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge MOJO97. I just got this the Cat's Pajama's "Relaxing" stamp and was anxious to ink it up. I stamped it in Memento Black ink on white card stock, colored it it with copics and cut it out with a circle nestibilities and then put it on pink card stock that was cut out with a scalloped circle nestibilities. I stamped the sentiment with Stampin' Up Only Orange cut it out and put it on a piece of the pink card stock. The stamp is from Studio G Series 31 Clear Stamps. I dotted the edges of the pink card stock with an orange marker. The corner piece was cut out from that card stock also. I have several sheets of it which were saved from the garbage at work. The dotted paper doesn't have any markings on it. The other paper is Water Fun Word from P. Etc. The buttons are from MFT spring collection.
